Every year in September, the Monaco Yacht Show is proudly held in one of the most alluring places in the world. This year, the show takes place from September 26th through the 29th, and is expected to surpass last year’s numbers in terms of attendance and exhibitors.

Since its inaugural launch in 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show has been recognized as the most prestigious superyacht show in the world, with the largest vessels on display. Held at the famed Port Hercules, over 580 exhibitors gather at the glamorous waterfront to display the top yachts, luxury cars, marine equipment, water toys, and more.

The Monaco Yacht Show 2018: Explore Monaco
While in Monaco for the greatest superyacht show in the world, it’s easy to get lost in a place where glamourous and exotic backdrops are the norm. The show itself offers many areas throughout the waterfront that are must-sees. The Car Deck could be a part of the show that warrants a visit. Admire the newest range of top luxury cars from all around the world, as this year, the show’s producers have paired up with custom-car manufacturers that create bespoke vehicles and hypercars. Stop by The Starboard exhibition lounge where luxury products are on display, as are representatives from the most sought-after global destinations.
Taking full advantage of the blue waters of the Mediterranean is best experienced on a superyacht, however on land, Larvotto Beach, which is close to Monte Carlo, is another excellent option. Visiting the Prince’s palace is another must-do activity while in the famed principality. Originally built in 1191 as a Genoese fortress, its rich history and blend of architectural styles are sure to impress. For risk aficionados and lovers of the Beaux Arts, the renowned Monte-Carlo Casino will certainly amaze. With deep, historical significance, and ornate design and architecture, the casino was originally created to save Monaco from bankruptcy.

The 2018 Monaco Yacht Show is expected to have over 125 yachts on display in one of the most glamorous ports in the world. For the last 27 years, the show has grown both in terms of yacht size and the amount of vessels on display. The 230’ (70m) SAINT NICOLAS built by Lurssen yachts features 2 observation lounges, one that doubles as a cinema room, and a guest elevator that ushers guests from the lower to the upper deck. Another legendary yacht builder, Nobiskrug, constructed the award-winning 223’ (68m) SYCARA V, which accommodates 20 guests in 8 staterooms, and features a lavish elevator that brings guests from the accommodations deck all the way up to the expansive sun deck.
Also on display, the 205’ (63m) APOGEE built by Codecasa yachts has had just one owner since she was delivered, and has been maintained in top condition. Special entertainment features such as the 22′ (6.7m) long back-lit onyx-topped bar modeled after Monaco’s Café de Paris, a dance floor accompanied by a Wurlitzer jukebox, a karaoke machine, as well as a spacious adjacent outside aft terrace make her the ideal entertainment superyacht
Created by a highly experienced owner, and built by Abeking & Rasmussen, the 199’ (60.90m) EXCELLENCE V has a huge gross tonnage of 1,632 (unique for a vessel of this length) and provides the spacious living and entertaining environment of a much larger yacht, while still allowing access to the world’s most exclusive harbors. Special features include a private owner’s deck, a dedicated cinema room, as well as a central glass guest elevator servicing all five of her decks.
At 190’ (58m), LADY SHERIDAN, also built by Abeking & Rasmussen, features accommodations for up to 13 guests in 7 staterooms, and was designed by the renowned Donald Starkey. With the same owner and captain since new, she is kept in immaculate condition. Also available at the show, the 180’ (55m) QUITE ESSENTIAL built by Heesen yachts features a 7,000-liter (1,849-gallon) pool with a pressurized waterfall, and a very unique, modern interior with floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the oversized master suite.
Also available for viewing, the 180’ (55m) Benetti-built LADY MICHELLE, which is for sale and charter with Merle Wood & Associates, features a split-level owner’s suite, a dedicated gym, and an oversized Jacuzzi/pool. Another top-pedigree yacht, the 173’ (53m) SUNRISE built by Oceanco is also on display this year, and features well-appointed accommodations for up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms. Also featuring a split-level owner’s suite, she boasts a second private Jacuzzi on the owner’s deck for the ultimate in privacy.
Another top-pedigree yacht for sale with us is the 161’ (49m) MQ2, a classic Feadship with a fresh interior and updated mechanical systems. With accommodations for up to 14 guests in 6 staterooms, the master suite is located forward on the main deck. For a more sporty oceanic experience, the 140’ (42.7m) ELEMENT built by Cantieri di Pisa features a modern interior, and vast, open deck spaces ideal for al fresco dining, lounging, and taking in the sun.
