Merle Wood & Associates is proud to welcome back Skip Morris and announce that he has rejoined the company as a yacht broker based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Morris, who was part of the Merle Wood & Associates team from 2000-08, has more than 40 years of experience in the yachting industry.
I’m excited to be back at a brokerage house of this caliber and very proud to be working with Merle Wood and his associates again. My number one priority is my clients’ interest, whether my expertise can be applied to procuring a sale for their current yacht or finding the right yacht that fits their requirements for purchase or charter.
Morris grew up boating on Long Island Sound and after college worked as a captain on numerous yachts. He later began representing and building for different manufacturers and managed yachts for private owners before going on to selling yachts. At Merle Wood & Associates, he will specialize in the sale, purchase, charter, and construction of luxury yachts.
“I have found that continuing to share my knowledge and experience with clients long after the transaction takes place ensures lasting relationships that lead to repeat and referral business,” says Morris.
Morris is a longstanding member of the International Yacht Brokers Association and is active in the South Florida boating community. He also enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife of 27 years, Penni.
