Merle Wood & Associates is proud to announce that Sharon Abramson has joined the company as a marketing manager based in Fort Lauderdale. After spending most of her early career in newspapers, publishing and public relations, Abramson entered the yachting industry in 2015 and has held several high level marketing positions since that time.
I am very excited to join the accomplished team at Merle Wood & Associates, and I look forward to raising the profile of the industry leader in the sale, purchase, charter and construction of the world’s finest luxury yachts.
Abramson will focus on creating content for Merle Wood & Associates’ website and marketing materials, implementing Merle Wood & Associates’ strategy for marketing yachts for sale and yachts for charter, and overseeing Merle Wood & Associates’ public relations efforts.
Abramson began her career in yachting as the director of marketing and PR at the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, owner of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. She also worked in marketing and public relations at Robert Allen Law and Denison Yacht Sales.
Prior to that, she spent 12 years in newspapers and publishing, including 8 years at the Palm Beach Post, and was an account manager at Insider Media Management. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and is a member of the International Yacht Brokers Association, Young Professionals in Yachting and the Public Relations Society of America.
