Merle Wood & Associates is proud to announce the CHARISMA yacht sold this week to a discerning buyer. Constructed by Feadship in The Netherlands, the 153’ (47m) mega yacht was originally delivered in 1985, and underwent an extensive overhaul and redesign in 2002. Twelve guests in 6 staterooms are accommodated in a full-beam master with a private study, 3 double staterooms, and 2 twins – each with its own en suite. With a beam of 28’ (8.53m) and a draft of 8’9” (2.67m), she has the capacity for 12 crew on board.

This is the third time Merle Wood & Associates can mark the CHARISMA yacht sold! We are very proud to have sold her 3 times, in part due to her legendary Feadship pedigree, and, of course, the loyalty of our clientele, not to mention our own abilities in getting the job done.

Contrasting high-gloss mahogany and cream/white furnishings softly fill the interior created by yacht designers Pembroke & Ives. The restful skylounge contains a stark white sectional faced by two plush arm chairs, a coffee table and game table. Entertainment is provided by a large flat screen television and forward bar; the room opens to a deck, aft.

Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects, the Lloyd’s classed and MCA compliant superyacht is constructed of steel and aluminum, with well-planned deck spaces. The CHARISMA yacht sold with a newly-added sun deck including a hot tub offering unobstructed views of the ocean, and a casual al fresco dining area aft. The generous bridge deck carries a tender, toys, as well as gym equipment for those seeking an outdoor workout.

CHARISMA has been maintained in excellent condition, with nothing spared. Two 750hp Detroit diesel engines offer a range of 3,000nm at a cruising speed of 12 knots, while zero-speed stabilizers offer comfort onboard. She has a proven global cruising ability, and a strong charter history.
